I was particularly grateful for Fr. Victor Bieberle’s remarks before the liturgy of adoration last Sunday, which served to remind all of us, especially those who are new to the parish, of why it all began. He thanked by name Marvin Harter (of happy memory, who crafted the adoration chapel) and Dick and Pat Dwyer, who served as the first coordinators of the adoration team. Other charter adorers were recognized at the parish dinner (which was fabulous, by the way), and were given a nice lapel pin as a token of our appreciation for their good example and commitment to adoration.
The parish dinner was catered by Via Christi Food Services, the wine was supplied by the Men’s Club, and the special coffee bar was supported by the Altar Society and served by Karl & Pam Hesse. The CYO did an outstanding job setting up, serving, and cleaning up after the parish dinner. Read Pastor's Corner > |
